AACG & Weblogic Patching Instructions for AACG 8.6.3 TO 8.6.5(Application Access Control Governor)

AACG & WEBLOGIC PATCHING INSTRUCTIONS FOR AACG 8.6.3 TO 8.6.5(APPLICATION ACCESS CONTROLS GOVERNOR)

1). Login to Application and Navigate to Navigator->Administration Management->Manage Application Configuration.

2). Note down the values for all the setup fields under Properties Tab.

3). Take the Backup of ETL Directory, Report Directory and Database schema. Download patch to Staging Directory.

4). Login to console –> Deployments –> Select <grc_application> –> Stop Services.

5).Confirmation will be asked to force stop the grc. Click Yes to proceed.

6). Click Lock and Edit –> Select <grc_application> –> Delete the deployment –> Activate Changes.

7). Stop Weblogic Server and SOA Server (If being used).

8). Clear Cache, Log and tmp folders for AdminServer
( This is optional….recommended)
cd $MW_HOME/user_projects/domains/<grc_domain>/bin
rm -rf ../servers/AdminServer/tmp/*
rm -rf ../servers/AdminServer/logs/*
rm -rf ../servers/AdminServer/cache/*

9) Navigate to <MW_HOME> and rename the <grc_folder> directory to <grc_folder>_old.

10) Create a new directory with name <grc_folder> under <MW_HOME>.

11). Copy grc.ear file from staging directory to <MW_HOME>/<grc_folder> and extract it.

12). Start Weblogic server and SOA Server (If being used).

13).Login to WebLogic Server Administration Console Page.

14). Deploy the Patch:

A). Make sure you are logged in to the WebLogic Console
http://host:port/console

B). In the Change Center pane, click Lock & Edit.

C). In the Domain Structure pane, click on Deployments.

D). In the Summary of Deployments pane, select the Control tab.

E). In the Summary of Deployments pane, click on the Install button.

F). In the Path field of the Install Application Assistant pane, enter the full path to the <grc_folder> directory you created earlier (step 9). Select ‘grc (open directory)’ under Current Location.

G). In the Install Application Assistant pane, press next.

H). In the Install Application Assistant pane, choose ‘Install this deployment as an application’ in the ‘Choose targeting style’ section.

I). In the Install Application Assistant pane, choose ‘I will make this deployment accessible from the following location’ in the ‘Source accessibility’ section. Accept all other defaults.

J). In the Install Application Assistant pane, press next.

K). In the Install Application Assistant pane, choose ‘Yes, take me to the deployment configuration screen’ in the ‘Additional configuration’ section.

L). In the Install Application Assistant pane, press Finish.

M). Click Save.

15). Activate changes.

16). Select <grc_application> and Start the deployment. It will show as active.

17). Launch http://host:port//grc –> which will open config page

18). Provide all the details in Config Page as per step2 and save.
(We recommend the Debug log option)

19). Stop and start Weblogic Server.

20). Tail -f grc.log, wait till it stops growing, it takes around 10-15 mins.

21). Login to system, and click on oval shape icon next to user id and see it shows the build version delivered by Oracle, like 8.6.x.xxxx.

22).Once upgrade is successful, delete the <grc_folder>_old folder under .
